Penny spent many years working in the Health Sevice before studying art and achieving a First Class Honours Degree in Interdisciplinary Fine Art.
The essence of Penny's work is in it's energy and colour.
Her work begins with observational notes, charcoal sketches and photography. She currently uses oil, acrylic, charcoal and pastels on canvas and paper.
Penny spends much time in her garden and through her work aims to reflect on the transience and energy of nature.
Penny has had a longterm interest in Still Life which is currently seen in her drawing on subject matter from the garden produce.
The art work aims to capture the essence of the energy, colour and immediacy of nature.
