Penny moved to Berkshire in the 1990's and since studying art has made work in response to the history of Reading. Penny has researched the industries previously based there relating to 'Beer, Bulbs and Biscuits', and has reflected the idea that traces of these thriving industries still remain.
The materials used and the processes in making are integral to the meaning of each piece.
